School library service

The School Library Service (SLS) works in partnership with school communities and provides the expertise to help raise reading standards.

Our highly trained and professional staff will:

  • Develop your library as an excellent resource to promote a love of books
  • Work with you to encourage young people of all abilities to develop a love of reading for pleasure
  • Offer advice and training in order to develop information literacy skills
  • Work with you to keep your deposit collection of books current, inclusive and diverse
  • Help you with purchasing shelf ready books offering generous discounts
  • Advise you on stock management

2026 FIFA World Cup

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, marking an exciting global celebration of football. Kicking off on 11 June, the tournament will make history with a record 48 teams taking part.

To celebrate this landmark event, we have produced a special booklist dedicated to the world of football.
