Conference programme

10:00  Welcome and Introduction - Brendan Stone, Head of outdoor education, Devon County Council

10:05  School grounds: the foundations of your outdoor learning journey - Mary Jackson, Head of Education and Communities, Learning through Landscapes

Learning through Landscapes is the UK’s leading school grounds, outdoor learning and play charity.
School grounds are the one space most children have access to every day and they are the spaces they feel are their own. They are spaces in which to learn, to play, to build relationships and to engage with nature. They impact on the health and wellbeing of our pupils and staff and have a vital role in our response to climate change.
