Developing shared writing

This course is open to all schools but if you are a Devon maintained school you can book one or more places at the subsidised rate of £35 per person.
Cost for all other schools is £125 per person.

This event will introduce new professional development materials produced by the DES English team to support schools with improving the teaching of writing with a focus on effective modelling. 

Training objectives

The event will:

  • Explore different models of shared writing
  • Consider how shared writing can be developed within a sequence of teaching 
  • Provide opportunity to analyse practice with extensive video and classroom material 
  • Introduce cpd materials which can be used in school with colleagues
