Jon Galling

Jon is an experienced leader who is pragmatic, informed and insightful in his approach. Understanding the challenges schools and colleges face, including 10 years as a Headteacher, he ensures that he provides challenge and support in a professional, yet measured way enabling others to reflect and engage. Jon believes in empowering others and establishes strong partnerships based on trust, being approachable and accountable.

In all of his training delivery, Jon utilises his understanding of the requirements on settings from Foundation Stage through to Post-16, the role of leaders and the needs of families and children, while engaging those attending his sessions. Recognising that the content of safeguarding training at all levels can be challenging, Jon ensures, that those who attend his sessions have very positive outcomes, through a blend of excellent subject knowledge alongside recognising the needs of attendees.

Having developed a strength in the field of safer recruitment, including as a nationally accredited trainer, Jon is often the ‘go-to’ member of the team with questions linked to the Single Central Record and associated evidence. Similarly, working with schools, federations and Trust leaders and governors, Jon utilises his skills, experience and knowledge to support schools to ensure that there is a tangible effective safeguarding culture.
