The Governance Professional – extending your clerking skills.

This session is for clerks who have been in post for a year or more.

This session will consider what is meant by the term ‘governance professional’ and how this differs from a clerking role.  We will look at how the governance professional will use their knowledge of governance to support and advise their board, help to ensure compliance and enable the board to work effectively and strategically.  We will discuss the areas the governance professional will take the lead on and how to establish relationships with board members and school leadership.
