Attendance and behaviour (A) (online)

{{ category }}

A brief lunchtime session that will give you an overview of the role of strategic governance within the areas of attendance and behaviour in schools.

The Department for Education (DfE) has a strong focus on both attendance and behaviour.  In particular governing boards should be prioritising pupil attendance across all year groups.

We will look at the DfE statutory guidance including how schools are being urged to set high expectations for every pupil and communicate those expectations clearly and consistently to pupils and parents.  School behaviour is another priority area and we will look at the boards role in supporting and challenging school leaders whilst driving standards and expectations.
