The governance of safeguarding (online)

{{ category }}

This course is designed to give participants the opportunity to understand the requirements of the Governors role and safeguarding.

It briefly guides attendees through the signs and indicators of abuse both familial and contextual as well as highlighting the statutory documents and guidance educational settings use to develop their processes and procedures to support their pupils and families should concerns arise.

The course also enables governors to reflect on how they can monitor, challenge and evaluate the safeguarding practice in their settings by asking key challenging questions and also considers the areas external visitors such as Ofsted may check when reviewing  safeguarding practice.  National and local updates are also included.
