Coastal and countryside leader training and assessment including camping endorsement

The foundation level of the SWMLTS is designed to provide an introductory level of knowledge, understanding and experience sufficient to lead groups safely and enjoyably in coastal and rural countryside environments.

This weekend course (Friday evening to Sunday afternoon) is for those wishing to lead groups in rural countryside and coastal areas in Summer conditions. 

Suited to those leading Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Awards. The course includes an overnight camp at a simple farm campsite (for which candidates need to self-cater).

Candidates can request to be assessed or trained depending on previous skills and experience.
