Governance updates (online)

These briefings are held virtually at the beginning of each term to share what is new, what has changed, or is due to change, and areas that the board may wish to focus on as we move through this term. 

The sessions provide a valuable opportunity to share information, prompt ideas and keep yourself – and your board – up to date.  The content changes every term to reflect the issues you and your board are likely to be dealing with currently and will support your agenda planning for the remainder of this term.  We will consider the impact of national initiatives and legislative changes, local developments affecting boards in Devon alongside key themes or issues emerging from the maintained and academy schools we work with. 

These sessions are essential for those governing at all levels in either academies or maintained schools to share experiences, ask questions and find solutions.
