Design a ‘T-shirt’ Competition

for World Book Day, 5 March 2026

Thank you all so much for your entries - we were incredibly impressed by the imaginative and creative designs. You made judging very difficult!
The winners are:

EYFS - Evie, with the Gruffalo from Bradley Barton Primary
KS1 - Archie, with the BFG from Willand Primary
KS2 - Ellie, with the White Fox from Milton Abbot Primary
KS3 - Aliana, with Bastion from the NeverEnding Story from The Maynard School

Run the competition in your school and then email us with photographs of your winning entries for each category.

Open to all Devon schools (subscribing or non-subscribing).

The brief

• Design a t-shirt with your favourite book character.
• Use the template which can be found and downloaded here.
• The design must be within the square on the t-shirt, anything outside of this will not be included.
• Any medium can be used to achieve this e.g. felt tip, ink, paint, collage.

The deadline for entries is 5pm Friday 13 February 2026.

Scan your winning entries and email to [email protected] with the name, school and key stage of the student.

The winning schools will be notified on Monday 23 February 2026.
