Our focus is to deliver cost-effective, up-to-the-minute services that enable schools, settings, families, and other organisations to have continued access to high-quality services that support the progress and attainment of our children and young people.
To place orders and to access all areas of the site, you will need to have registered for a user account. If you have not already done so, setting up an account is really easy and will only take a couple of minutes. Your school or setting is most likely already set up in our system, so all you need to do is create your own personal account. Your account will automatically be linked to your school/setting (where relevant) and if your school/setting has purchased any whole-site online learning courses, you will find these automatically added to your online learning tab.
Clear evidence exists that learning outside the classroom, school trips, residentials, adventurous activities and learning in nature can improve academic results, pupils’ confidence and mental health.
The outdoor education advice service focusses on a positive attitude to risk and reward, providing you with common sense and practical advice enabling you to lead engaging, rewarding and safe activities.
The service assists schools and settings to manage their responsibilities for the health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people when engaged in off-site visits and activities. This includes specialist advice and support for all types of activities from walks to the park to foreign expeditions.
The outdoor education team provides advice and support to DCC's health and safety team and maintained schools.
Academies, independent schools and other establishments can purchase this advice service by subscription through the shop. Subscription includes access to the Evolve platform to record and submit off-site visits.

Field Studies Council is an environmental education charity. Founded in 1943, we are best known for providing residential and day field trips for those studying biology and geography. But our mission is to create outstanding opportunities for everyone to learn about nature. The Bioasis delivers off-grid residential programmes designed to rewild the next generation. The Devon Waste Education team have been working with Devon schools since 2004, promoting ways to reduce waste and teaching generations of Devon schoolchildren about resource management, composting and how to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
Reducing waste is a fantastic way to help the environment and reduce your school’s carbon emissions, so we can also play a part in helping your school’s Climate Action Plan. The experienced waste educators can visit your school to deliver free workshops or assemblies to students and to talk to school support staff helping you and your school achieve net zero.

Rhino Play has created thousands of playground designs for various schools and nurseries, local authorities, community groups and hotel and leisure park playgrounds! Our playground equipment is designed and built bespoke to suit individual budgets, colour schemes and age of users, from early years foundation stage children to secondary school-aged children.
We are constantly adapting and developing our playground designs and adding new playground equipment to our product ranges. The National Park Authority works to conserve and enhance Dartmoor National Park as a vibrant, living, working landscape and community, rich in wildlife and archaeology.
We work in partnership with local and national stakeholders and support the National Park’s businesses and communities.
The Outreach and Engagement Team help promote the enjoyment and understanding of the special qualities of the National Park- from the rocky tors and open moorland to the wooded river valleys and enclosed farmland.
We want to help every young person under 11 have a Dartmoor experience and connect the next generation with this special place.
We run an educational guided walks service to help schools bring their pupils out to experience the National Park and support other education providers and landowners to help us achieve this vision.

Our school visits are free (pre-booked) and give children the opportunity to get involved in practical horticulture, art and science. Bringing the curriculum to life in an inspiring setting, all of our workshops our curriculum linked and run by qualified teachers experienced in outdoor learning.
Self- guided visits to the Garden are also available and if you live a little bit further away then you might be interested in our Campaign for School Gardening; National Education Nature Parks Programme or our New Shoots Programme which focuses on horticultural careers.
The Network of Environmental Educators in Devon (NEED) is committed to developing environmental awareness, stewardship and learning for outdoor, environmental and sustainability education across Devon. Information for childcare providers
Wraparound childcare offers consistent before‑ and after‑school care, helping working parents manage their day while giving children a safe, stable environment every day the school is open.
Although national funding is coming to an end, Devon has created over 2,000 new wraparound places and remains committed to supporting schools, childminders, and providers to maintain high‑quality provision. Ongoing training and guidance will continue, including our Play Skills Development Morning, designed to help staff build confidence and strengthen practice.

Family Information Service
The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme is a DfE-funded scheme that provides free holiday activities and nutritious meals for children who receive benefits‑related free school meals. In Devon we also support children with an EHCP, Looked after children and Young Carers. It aims to help children eat well, stay active and connected, and develop healthy habits during the Spring/Easter, Summer and Winter/Christmas school holidays. In Devon, the programme supports around 22,500 eligible children and is delivered in partnership with over 60 local providers, offering a wide range of activities in over 150 locations across the county. Devon has 5 SEND Specialist deliveries and a strong track record of supporting children with SEND throughout our Universal settings to ensure children and young people of all abilities can take part.
