Early education (EYFS), childcare and wraparound childcare

The teams in the Early Years and Childcare Service can support all settings that provide early years foundation stage provision or school-age childcare to meet statutory requirements and support high-quality provision.

Devon Early Years and Childcare practitioners: most of the early years and childcare training is now available on the SHOP, but there are a couple of courses that are still on the DEL training website (such as group 3 core and the LADO training) and a DEL account will be needed to access these. If you need a DEL account to be created or need help with early years and childcare training, please contact [email protected].

Wraparound childcare is before and after school care for primary school aged children during term time, such as regular afterschool provision that runs until at least 5.30pm or later. The childcare should be available every school day outside of regular school hours and is aimed at helping parents access more childcare, and to work or attend training for the hours they want to.
