Physical difficulties and SEND ICT consultancy

The PDIT team supports schools and settings in identifying and removing barriers for children with a wide range of disabilities. This is only required to top up what the local authority provides as part of its commissioned services. We can:

• Work as part of the multi-disciplinary team around the child and contribute to the creation and implementation of statutory and non-statutory plans
• Help schools meet their statutory legal requirements regarding the moving and handling of children with physical difficulties through training and ongoing support
• Offer advice regarding the inclusion and support of children and young people with physical difficulties in schools and settings
• Support access to and the use of ICT in schools for children and young people with a wider range of needs e.g. sensory and physical, communication and interaction, cognition and learning
