Refugee Week
As part of the National Year of Reading 2026, our June theme has been chosen to compliment Refugee Week.
Refugee Week is a UK‑wide celebration that raises awareness of refugees’ experiences and contributions.
Through this collection of compelling stories, pupils are encouraged to explore what it means to be a refugee. The books have been carefully chosen to support a deeper understanding of what it means to seek safety and belonging, while building empathy and helping pupils to consider how they can stand alongside refugees in their own communities.
