The content covers the significance of asbestos as a health hazard and which people are at risk with examples of how they are put at risk. Legislation is heavily considered and how it drives management strategy for asbestos with what the HSE would expect to see should they visit your site.
The managerial controls available to the Duty Holder and to those on-site and in charge of the premises are examined using the Asbestos Management Plan, the Asbestos Register, the ASB1 Permit to Work and associated documents.

The content covers Legionella as a health hazard and how people can be put at risk. Legislation and the learnings from prosecutions are considered. The contents of Water Hygiene Risk Assessments and how they are used to inform control schemes is explained before reviewing monitoring procedures.

The content covers Legionella as a health hazard, how people can be put at risk and control methods. The practical tasks of hot and cold-water temperature checks, cleaning and flushing are covered in detail. Reference is made to site specific documents to help staff understand where information on monitoring tasks can be obtained locally.

This Fire Warden virtual training course covers the key roles and responsibilities of a fire warden, fire evacuation and drills, fire safety equipment and the fire safety arrangements applicable to the day to day running of your establishment. This course does not cover how to use a fire extinguisher.

This COSHH course is designed for staff and managers who purchase, store, use or dispose of hazardous substances in the course of their work or who are required to carry out Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) risk assessments.

The risk assessment course will give you an understanding of what risk assessments are and why it is important that we do them. We will look at key terms such as ‘hazard’ and ‘risk’, as well as running through the process of writing an assessment, including looking at existing controls and choosing additional suitable controls. During the final 30 minutes of the course, you will be asked to put the principles into practice and complete a simple risk assessment identifying 5 hazards within your workplace and working through the process of completing an action plan.

The one-day fire risk assessment classroom-based training course is designed to help delegates comply with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. It will cover the theoretical baseline knowledge needed to compile a simple Fire Risk Assessment and the practical skills needed to confidently undertake practical fire risk assessments.
The course will also include a practical assessment element which concludes with an assessment.

The Work at Height Regulations 2005 stipulate that those who organise, plan, or supervise work at height activities must be competent to do so. This Working at Height online training course helps you to comply with this statutory requirement by providing managers, supervisors and anyone who directs staff undertaking work at height activities with the necessary information needed to manage work at height risks within their teams. It provides an understanding of how to undertake a working at height risk assessment in order to control and manage risks, how to select, use and maintain access equipment safely and how to ensure that the risks of falls from height are controlled.
Please note that this course is not aimed at those who undertake work at height activities themselves.

This 4-day IOSH-approved course aims to provide candidates with the knowledge and skills to work safely themselves, to examine the issues, and apply the techniques and processes involved in managing health and safety effectively, to also consider organisational implications and determine how to contribute to improved health and safety standards and performance within the organisation.
