Tash brings a wealth of experience to the Safeguarding team, having delivered targeted Level 3 support across Devon for both Action for Children and Devon County Council. She currently serves as a governor for a maintained school in Devon, with lead responsibilities for SEND, Pupil Premium, and Early Years. Prior to this, Tash worked as a Designated Safeguarding Lead within Early Years settings.
These varied roles have enabled her to work closely with a wide range of professionals, building strong multi‑agency relationships and sharing expertise to improve outcomes for children and young people across Devon. Tash is deeply passionate about safeguarding and committed to ensuring that all children have the opportunity to thrive.
Her work with schools as both a practitioner and governor has given her valuable insight into the challenges education settings are navigating in the current climate. She draws on her family intervention background to collaborate effectively and think creatively when supporting schools and families, a skillset that will be instrumental in her role within the safeguarding team.
Tash has delivered training on sensitive topics, including raising awareness of domestic abuse, and understands the tact, empathy, and professionalism required when discussing emotive issues.
She draws on both practical frontline experience and wider strategic understanding to effectively guide, train, and support schools in strengthening their safeguarding culture and improving outcomes.
