Devon Education Services are delighted to be able to announce that Into Film will be presenting at our English subject leader meetings in May and June 2025. Into Films are fully funded to offer free training and resources to schools.
A little about Into Film;
Into Film is the UK’s leading charity for film in education. We bring the power of moving image storytelling into classroom teaching, provide screen industry careers information and advice, and support young filmmakers. The Into Film programme is free for UK state schools, colleges and other youth settings, thanks to support from the BFI and through other key funders.
Into Film provide free training for teachers of all subjects, enabling educators to learn more about film as a versatile tool for learning that supports the development of young people’s subject specific and transferable skills including oracy, comprehension, communication, and writing. Into Film’s comprehensive teacher training also covers simple educational filmmaking techniques which help embed learning and encourage self-expression in young people across all abilities. During an Into Film training session, teachers will have the opportunity to explore how film can assist their creation and delivery of well-planned, subject-rich lessons that encourage progress for all students, and come away with activity ideas and resources to try in class that have been created by educators, trialled in schools and work across the curriculum.
Our offer for schools also includes Into Film+, the UK’s only film streaming service of 800+ films designed specifically for all school settings, and a bespoke online learning platform that includes 1200+ film based classroom resources.
