Important update: Changes to EVOLVE+ subscription process
The Devon Health and Safety Service would like to inform you of an important change regarding the EVOLVE+ add-on to the standard Evolve package provided by eduFOCUS for managing educational visits.
What’s changing?
From now on, subscriptions to EVOLVE+ will no longer be available for purchase through the Devon Health and Safety Team. Instead, schools will be directed to eduFOCUS to purchase EVOLVE+ from them.
Please note that access to the standard EVOLVE package will continue to be included as part of both the Full and Basic Health & Safety SLA.
How to renew your EVOLVE+ subscription
To renew or purchase a new EVOLVE+ subscription, schools should contact eduFOCUS directly:

Why the change?
There are two key reasons for this change:
- Improved Support: Following a near-miss GDPR incident, it has become evident that schools will benefit from more focused and responsive support to their enquires by dealing directly with eduFOCUS. This should result in issues raised being dealt with more quickly.
- Fairer Pricing: The cost of EVOLVE+ when purchased directly from eduFOCUS will be priced on a per-pupil basis rather than a flat rate, ensuring that costs more accurately reflect each school’s size and likely usage.
What about existing setups?
eduFOCUS has confirmed that any existing links between EVOLVE+ and your school’s MIS system will remain unaffected by this change.
When will this take effect?
This change will apply from the renewal date of your school’s current subscription:
- Academies: September 2025
- Maintained Schools: April 2026
