This course is designed for School or Academy Governors and Trustees who have a specific health and safety role within their establishment or Trust. Delegates will gain an understanding of their roles and responsibilities under the law, the importance of policy and how this should guide the strategic management of health & safety within their organisation. Delegates will also gain an understanding of risk assessment. The course goes on to explain arrangements for the most critical health and safety elements of premises management. These elements will all be addressed from a strategic management, as opposed to an operational, perspective.
Audience: School/Academy Governors or Trustees. The course may also be useful for Clerks to Governors.
