Introduction for new clerks (A) (online and in person)

{{ category }}

If you are a newly appointed clerk or governance professional working in a maintained school or academy, attending this induction session is an essential first step in your role. This in-person event will provide a clear overview of the clerk’s role and responsibilities, alongside practical insight into how clerks can work effectively with their governing board to support strong, strategic governance.

The session on 30 September also includes our regular Clerks’ Briefing. This offers valuable updates on key areas that boards may wish to focus on during the current term, helping you to stay informed and confident in your role from the outset.

In addition, the event provides an opportunity to meet and network with fellow clerks from across Devon—an invaluable source of support and shared learning as you begin your clerking role.
