This course is aimed at those people who have the responsibility for ensuring that the risks from Legionella are suitably managed and controlled. The content covers Legionella as a health hazard and how people can be put at risk. Legislation and the learnings from prosecutions are considered. The contents of Water Hygiene Risk Assessments and how they are used to inform control schemes is explained before reviewing monitoring procedures.
Audience: Those people who have responsibility for managing legionella on their site. This is usually the person named in the Water Hygiene Management Plan, such as Business Managers and Head Teachers.
Mandatory course within Devon County Council with a mandatory refresher period of 3 years.
