Health and safety risk assessment (online)

The risk assessment course will give you an understanding of what risk assessments are and why we must do them. We will look at key terms such as ‘hazard’ and ‘risk’, as well as run through the process of writing an assessment, including looking at existing controls and choosing additional suitable controls. During the final 30 minutes of the ?course, you will be asked to put the principles into practice and complete a simple risk assessment identifying 5 hazards within your workplace and working through the process of completing an action plan.

Audience: All staff who may be expected to undertake risk assessments in the workplace.

This course within Devon County Council should be refreshed at the frequency required to maintain competency levels.
