Early Years - Working Together: Progress Check and the Healthy Child

{{ category }}

When a child is aged between two and three, practitioners must review their progress and provide parents and/ or carers with a short written summary of their child’s learning and development in the prime areas. Where possible the progress check and the Healthy Child Programme health review should inform each and support integrated working. (Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage 2021)

This fully funded briefing, jointly delivered by the Early Years Team and the Public Health Nursing Team will:

  • Promote future joint working between education and health professionals.
  • Provide information on the Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ), the Early Language Identification Measure (ELIM) and the role of the early years setting.
  • Introduce practitioners to the Let’s Talk, Read and Play resources (Approx. 90mins)
