This course is aimed at those people who undertake Legionella monitoring activities, temperature checks, cleaning and flushing. The content covers Legionella as a health hazard, how people can be put at risk and control methods. The practical tasks of hot and cold-water temperature checks, cleaning and flushing are covered in detail. Reference is made to site-specific documents to help staff understand where information on monitoring tasks can be obtained locally.
Audience: Those people who have roles at an operational level such as those carrying out day-to-day tasks in buildings (temperature checks, cleaning, flushing) such as Caretakers and Administrators.
Mandatory course within Devon County Council with a mandatory refresher period of 3 years.
