Many of you will know that Devon County Council has been working closely with parents, children and young people and schools to develop a framework to promote consistent inclusive practice that supports all children across all primary and secondary schools in Devon.
Devon’s Ordinarily Available Inclusive Provision Framework was introduced at the SEND conference in June and, following feedback from this, we are putting on a series of workshops to support school’s understanding of this and share the full content from the website before the end of term.
The workshop will provide a detailed introduction to Ordinarily Available Inclusive provision, explaining what it is and what it isn’t. We will be sharing the full content of Devon’s Ordinarily Available Inclusive Schools and settings’ framework and explaining how this could be used to support and develop provision in schools, as well as how it could help schools to share the good practice that is already in place more easily with CYP, families and staff.
This workshop will be suitable for Head/Executive Head Teachers, School leaders, Governors and SENCos.
Further support will be available to schools to support and develop Ordinarily Available Inclusive Provision from the Autumn term.
