Health and safety general awareness (online)

This course is aimed at people who need a basic understanding of health and safety for their role. It covers the organisational drivers for health and safety, the burden of injury and ill health in the UK then moves to discuss some common workplace hazards and their control measures. Sources of additional information, guidance or opportunities for further development are included.

Audience: People who need a general grounding in health and safety including new members of staff.

This course within Devon County Council has a recommended refresher period of 3 years.
