This session provides an introduction for those new to governance and is tailored for those governing within maintained schools that are both stand-alone or working in federations.

We will talk about the role of school governance and consider the principles of corporate and strategic governance, delegation and confidentiality.  The online session is fully interactive and will provide you with the opportunity to pose questions and receive answers.

This training is focused on governing in maintained schools; and can be complemented by additionally attending the face-to-face session.  The online session will help you get to grips with your role and fire you with enthusiasm, the face-to-face session will additionally allow you to network with others in school governance and deepen your knowledge.
