Early Years - Supporting Children in Care with a focus on Personal, Social and Emotional Development

Children in care should expect to benefit from a safe, happy and successful education just like any other child. We recognise that as a group, children in care are more likely to struggle due to trauma and adverse childhood experiences, which can have a negative impact on their ability to form positive relationships, understand their emotions and have a positive sense of self. This session will consider how best these children can be supported within early years in order to give them the best possible start.
