Safeguarding Forums provide an invaluable opportunity for safeguarding leaders to stay informed, connected and confident within an ever-changing safeguarding landscape.

Join colleagues from a range of educational settings across the county to explore emerging safeguarding themes, receive key local and national updates, hear from partner agencies, and reflect on best practice. These forums offer a dedicated space to share experiences, discuss challenges, and strengthen safeguarding provision within your setting.

Training Objectives

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Explore current safeguarding priorities and emerging risks
  • Understand updates to legislation, statutory guidance and national policy
  • Learn from serious case reviews, thematic reviews and safeguarding practice reviews
  • Hear from partner agencies and gain insight into multi-agency working
  • Reflect on effective safeguarding leadership and practice
  • Network with fellow DSLs and safeguarding leaders from across the county
  • Share challenges, solutions and examples of effective practice
  • Take away practical information to support safeguarding in their setting
