SEND module 2: developing your understanding of SEND

Welcome to the Devon special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) e-learning course. This is a foundation level course designed to support all practitioners who work with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities, and their families.

We worked with parents, carers and young people to find out what they would expect us to know and understand. This training aims to highlight key areas of knowledge and understanding, skills and abilities to ensure we collectively meet the needs of children and young people with SEND and their families in Devon.

This e-learning course has been developed in line with this framework. Some aspects will be covered in more depth in further SEND training from DCFP and/or your own agency.
