The headteacher’s duty to inform parties about an exclusion
The governing board and local authority duties to arrange education for excluded pupils
The board’s duty to consider an exclusion
The local authority/academy trust duty to arrange an independent review panel
The board’s duty to reconsider an exclusion decision following an independent review
The local authority role in overseeing the financial readjustment/payment
