This training event will provide governors with an introduction into school finances, looking specifically at the following subjects:

• The financial roles and responsibilities of governors
• The role of the DfE and the Local Authority
• Overview of school finance system
• Budget Planning and the role governors have

Suitable for all governors but recommended for those chairing a resource committee or with a lead governor responsibility for finance. There will be time for networking.
